Return & Refund Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Return & Refund Policy explains when you may return or exchange products purchased from Pora Door (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and how refunds are handled. Storm doors are often sized or configured to order, so return eligibility can be limited. By placing an order, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

We want you to be satisfied with your storm door purchase. If something arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will work with you on a repair, replacement, or refund as described below. Non-defective returns are handled case by case and may not be available for custom, special-order, or installed products.

2. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your shipment as soon as it arrives. If your order is damaged in transit, defective, or not what you ordered:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@poradoor.com or email info@poradoor.com.
  • Include your order number, a short description of the issue, and clear photos of the product, packaging, and any shipping labels if the issue is transit-related.
  • Do not discard packaging until we confirm next steps—carriers and manufacturers often require it for claims.

Approved claims may be resolved by replacement parts, a full or partial replacement door, repair guidance, or a refund, depending on the product, manufacturer policy, and what is reasonably available.

3. Change of mind / non-defective returns

Because many storm doors are made, finished, or ordered to your specifications (size, color, swing, glass options, hardware), change-of-mind returns are not guaranteed.

If we approve a non-defective return in writing before you ship the item back, the following generally apply:

  • Request must be made within 14 days of delivery.
  • Product must be unused, uninstalled, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
  • You are responsible for return shipping and any freight costs unless we state otherwise in writing.
  • A restocking fee of up to 25% of the product price may apply to cover handling and manufacturer return costs.
  • Original outbound shipping charges are typically non-refundable.

4. Items not eligible for return

  • Custom-sized, special-order, or made-to-order doors once production or supplier ordering has begun.
  • Products that have been installed, modified, painted, or damaged after delivery.
  • Clearance, final-sale, or marked “non-returnable” items at checkout.
  • Installation labor fees (except when we cancel an installation we agreed to provide and you have not received the service).
  • Products returned without a prior return authorization from us.

5. How to request a return or refund

  1. Email info@poradoor.com with your order number and reason for the request.
  2. Wait for written approval and return instructions (including any authorization number). Unauthorized returns may be refused.
  3. Ship the product as directed. Keep tracking information until the return is processed.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect a returned product (or after we approve a refund without a physical return, such as for certain damaged shipments).

Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit. Partial refunds may apply when only part of an order is canceled, returned, or defective, or when restocking or shipping fees are deducted under this policy.

7. Cancellations

You may request cancellation before the order ships or before custom production begins. Once a storm door has entered production, been special-ordered from a manufacturer, or shipped, cancellation may not be available, or may be treated as a return under Sections 3–4. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

8. Manufacturer warranties

Many doors include a limited manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship for a period set by the manufacturer. Warranty claims are handled under the manufacturer’s terms and are separate from this return policy. We can help direct you to the right process after you contact us with your order details.

9. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable U.S. federal or state consumer protection laws, including rights related to defective goods. If a provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory law in your state, that law controls.
